About Somatic Chiropractic
-
Traditional chiropractic focuses on correcting spinal misalignments to facilitate proper nervous system function, usually through manual spinal manipulation.
Somatic Chiropractic takes a more holistic approach, examining the entire body and ecosystem of health rather than just the spine.
Using attuned touch and deep somatic listening, we help your nervous system become aware of holding patterns and release them with minimal force. We work with your spine, organs, fascia, and nervous system to help your body process stored physical and emotional tensions, addressing root causes rather than symptoms.

Your first visit is an hour-long appointment about getting to know you and the stories your body holds. We'll explore your health history and what brings you in, then move into your first somatic chiropractic session. We assess holistically, looking at posture, breathing patterns, tissue tension, and how your nervous system is holding stress.

After the first few adjustments, most people feel calmer, more grounded, and more settled in their body and nervous system. Many people describe “feeling more space in their body.”
Most importantly, you can always expect to be safe in our hands. The work will always meet you where you are, with whatever your body is holding. It can be gentle, deep, physical, energetic, or whatever is most appropriate in the moment.
As holding patterns begin to release, your body may need to actively work through the associated tensions. This can sometimes feel like mild soreness after an adjustment, similar to soreness after exercise. Healing is not linear and your body needs time and space to work through what it's been carrying.

Yes. The most important thing you can do is show up and follow through. Somatic Chiropractic involves releasing patterns of stress and injury, then building a new foundation for health and adaptability. There can be points of challenge in this process. That's when showing up matters most. We see this process through with every patient.
Outside of sessions, practices that help you stay connected to yourself can support this work. Things like yoga, qigong, journaling, therapy, or simply taking time to slow down and listen inward can deepen your ability to integrate what your body is processing.

Community adjustments are 50-minute group sessions with up to four people receiving care at the same time. The shared space creates a co-regulatory environment where nervous systems naturally attune to one another, which can deepen and support the work. Many people find the community format as effective as private sessions, and some prefer it. It's a different energy, and a more accessible way to receive consistent care.

Scheduling & Policies
-
We are currently accepting new patients by waitlist only. You can join here. We'll reach out when space opens up. New patients typically start with a private appointment before joining the community schedule.
-
We require 48 hours notice for any cancellations or changes. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are charged the full appointment fee to the card on file.
If a patient cancels three consecutive pre-booked appointments without a conversation with Dr. Myles, all remaining pre-booked appointments will be released from the schedule. We'll reach out to assess whether the current timing and cadence of care still makes sense.
-
We are an out-of-network provider. Payment is required upfront and we provide an itemized receipt with the necessary codes for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Medicare covers spinal manipulation only. Many of our contacts are gentle, low-force adjustments to the spine or broader skeletal structure that fall outside Medicare's definition of spinal manipulation. If you have Medicare, we can provide an itemized receipt for visits that included qualifying spinal manipulation.
