Helping the body heal itself
Trauma-informed somatic chiropractic care
Our Approach
We specialize in trauma-informed Somatic Chiropractic care. Our approach focuses on helping you access your innate healing abilities through attuned touch and deep somatic listening.
Whether you’re experiencing stress at work or at home, dealing with an injury, navigating a chronic condition, or holding more than you can process alone, Somatic Chiropractic care can help you find ease, restore balance, and change how your body responds to stress.
You don’t have to be symptomatic to benefit. Many people come in without pain to shift their relationship with their body and the stories it holds.
The Work
Somatic Chiropractic
Somatic Chiropractic is a unique blend of Bio-Geometric Integration, Network Spinal Analysis, osteopathic manual therapy, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, and somatic trauma work.
These frameworks allow the body to gently unwind holding patterns and release tension from the whole system.
What makes our Oakland practice unique is the depth of somatic listening that guides every session. Using attuned touch, Dr. Myles reads your body, feeling where tension lives, how it’s organized, what it’s protecting, and how energy is moving through the system.
From there, the work follows what your system is ready for. This might involve working with the organs, the spine, the tissues, or simply staying present as something moves through. Your body guides what's needed, which can shift moment to moment
The common thread is presence, attunement, and trust in your body’s intelligence.
"Somatic opening works through the body to access and transform survival reactions, experiences that have shaped us, and emotions or numbing that has become automatic. Our bodies tell stories. Our muscles hold memories. Somatic opening allows us to listen to, somatically process, and transform these stories. Somatic opening allows more aliveness, purpose, love, and power."

The Framework
Bio-Geometric Integration
Your body stores unprocessed stress and trauma as physical tension, holding the shape of the experience you haven't integrated yet.
Every injury, every painful experience, every overwhelming moment accumulates over time and shapes how your body organizes itself. This can block the natural flow of energy and disrupt communication within the system, showing up as symptoms like pain, anxiety, depression, or digestive issues.
This work is about learning to feel and track what’s happening inside your body.
Bio-Geometric Integration is the energetic map of how your body stores these experiences.
Through this work, you learn to read your internal terrain, becoming aware of what you're holding, where it lives, and how to let it integrate.
When these stored experiences become part of the whole rather than creating interference, the system becomes more coherent and adaptable.
What we don’t process, the body continues to carry
"Suppressed energy doesn't go away, and even dark or disowned energy cannot be destroyed. It needs to move, to become, to transmute; it must find an expression. In this way, unconscious material rises again and again to the surface, seeking to be met, detoxed, and clarified. Until trauma has been acknowledged, felt, and released, it will be experienced from without in the form of repetition, compulsion, and projection and from within as tension and contraction, reduction of life flow, illness or disease."
