Your body can feel amazing and connected

Our values

Joy & self-expression

Amidst the stress of the modern world, it’s vital to find joy in the small moments of our lives–whether in the smiles of loved ones or in the feeling of our hands in the soil. However, being able to open up to others and to our surroundings is much easier when we’re not preoccupied with physical discomfort. Feeling at ease within our bodies allows us to explore and express ourselves to the fullest extent. And getting our patients to that place is one of the key reasons for what we do.

Community & connection

Healing is better together. At Soma Connection, we have an open community room with multiple tables to bring this value to life: inviting multiple people into a shared space and letting their nervous systems co-regulate together helps the body settle and allows for more easeful healing. You might even make a new friend on the table, which is a lifelong bonus!

Embodiment & empowerment

We believe it is possible to feel comfortable in your body, in these times. Yet, our Western world was built on and continues to function through the theft of land and bodies. This painful reality drives a collective and internal dissonance that created a culture of disembodiment and dissociation as a coping mechanism. We do what we do because we believe that change can only come if people reawaken to themselves: the more we can embody and tune into what’s happening inside, the more we can feel safe and empowered to make the external world into a kinder, more just place.

Affirmation & inclusion

Feeling safe and understood in your healing work might be the most crucial aspect of your journey, and most crucial to your success. We are a queer-owned healing practice that provides a gender-affirming, inclusive space for your body to thrive. We love working with people in the midst of gender exploration and gender transition, people with pain and anxiety, and anyone who is ready to reconnect with their body and discover their innate potential. Our goal is not just to make people feel better, but to provide identity-affirming healing experiences.
